Making The Right Choice For A Rug Through The Lens Of A Woman
One
doesn’t need a specific day to celebrate female power or appreciate feminism.
Each day should be spent with equal zest and zeal to glorify the power of
“her”. Nowadays, a woman is not just
confined to domesticity or responsible for household chores and raise kids. The
female of today is much more than the all this and has gone far beyond the
usual rigmarole. She is not just a mom, wife, sister or daughter but is the
forefront in any sphere of life.
Picture
this; Alex goes shopping for their newly built apartment and is in hunt for a
beautiful handmade rug. On the other hand, her husband John insists on making
his own choices and wishes to decorate the apartment on his own. They both
mutually agree upon shopping for their apartment individually and go solo in
making their choices to decorate their apartment.
Scenario1
John
is excited and is over confident in selecting beautiful home décor items for
his space. He goes ahead with buying a gray colored plain sofa that has a rough
texture. He proceeds on with buying the same exact color lamp without realizing
that it would completely merge with the color of the couch. Later towards his
expedition, John picks a light wood table that is a complete mismatch with the
rest of the décor and ends his shopping with an inferior quality machine made
rug. Well, he is ecstatic and is of the notion that he has made the right
choices while his wife must have totally messed up on the other hand.
Scenario 2
Alex
is furious that her husband doesn’t trust her choice and carries on in hunting
for a complete home décor set on her own. Having an aesthetic sense and using
her blend for creativity, she picks a gorgeous handmade good quality rug in
soothing blue and gold with an intricate pattern. Her idea is to match the rest
of the décor with the rug that simplifies the entire process. Next, she
proceeds with buying a neutral color couch with pillows matching the rug and
lastly a lamp that is a perfect conglomerate of colors that compliment the rest
of the décor. She is on top of the world and feels confident about her choice.
Alex
and John finally spill the beans regarding their choices for their apartment.
John feels embarrassed for not trusting his wife and ends up over-spending for
a décor that was a total mismatch. Towards the end, they went ahead with Alex’s
choice and agreed upon the fact as to how she was smart enough to pick a high quality rug and then match the rest of the décor around it.
Bottom
line is that never under-estimate the choices she makes or doubt her selection.
Happy Women’s Day
